Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for an ICT Systems & Network Administrator to provide key aspects of operational support and infrastructure management, alongside general guidance to the Tier 1 ICT Service Desk team.
About the Role
At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our aim at Acorns is to help families feel equipped to cope at every stage of their child’s life with dedicated teams offering psychological, emotional and practical support.
As ICT Systems & Network Administrator, you will:
- Maintain the operational delivery of ICT services via the timely response and resolution of escalated incidents
- Deliver routine systems and network administration at infrastructure-level, maintaining key ICT services and infrastructure across the organisation
- Monitor critical ICT services and infrastructure, both cloud and on-premises, highlighting security and performance issues, taking actions as directed
- Promote a culture of self-sufficiency and collaboration in relation to digital technology across the organisation.
- Provide appropriate advice and guidance to the Tier 1 Service Desk team in respect to their personal and professional development
About You
- Relevant professional qualifications or industry certificates with evidence of continuing professional development
- Recent extensive experience of supporting and working with an ICT service desk environment in a 2nd line role
- Demonstrable experience in systems administration in relation to:
- Group Policy Management
- SharePoint Administration
- Active Directory & Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft InTune/Autopilot
- Software Packaging/Deployment
- Infrastructure management & monitoring
- M365 Administration (Advanced)
- Experience of implementing on technical projects.
- Extensive technical knowledge of current technologies in the Microsoft product stack. (SharePoint, Azure, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365)
- Knowledge of cloud computing (Azure) and related virtualisation technologies such as Hyper-V.
- Intermediate knowledge and understanding of LANs, WANs, VPNs and common networking configuration and components.
