Care Administration Officer

Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a Care Administration Officer to support the work of the care senior leadership team.

About the role

As a Care Administration Officer, you will assist the Care Administration Manager to implement an annual plan of Care, department meetings and commitments. You will be preparing departmental documentation ensuring all documents are formatted in accordance with organizational standards. 

At times you will necessitate liaison with the Marketing and Communication departments to ensure documentation meets set standards. You will ensure version control is adhered to and will provide administrative support to the running of nominated meetings, including producing Agendas and taking Minutes where required. You’ll assist in handling Care correspondence both electronically, verbally and paper based. 

You will also be monitoring multiple inboxes, assist with departmental purchase orders, preparation of departmental rota's and assist with monthly and quarterly reporting.

About you 

You will have previous experience in administration, database administration and excellent organizational skills. You will have the ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm under pressure. Along with this you will be able to develop and maintain professional working relationships with peers, managers, volunteers, and external contacts. You will be able to travel independently across the Acorns region. You will have a positive, enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude.

  • Salary of £25,658.59 per annum
  • 37.5 hours per week 
  • Location will be based at the nearest Acorns Hospice with some travel to each Hospice and remote working.

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.
