We are now looking for a Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support the team completing applications and writing  content that supports with income generation through Trusts and Foundations.

About the Role

Acorns is currently the UK’s largest children’s hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported, and annual expenditure on our care work- we need to raise more than £10 million each year to run and support our care services.

As Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer, you will work with the Fundraising Manager to support the rolling programme funding applications to trusts and foundations.  You'll use our written template and gather information required for a variety of sources including are own database.  You'll research new funders, looking for those whose aims and interests are a match for Acorns and the care that we provide.

You’ll provide regular reports and updates to supporters on the impact of their donations and report monthly activity to the Fundraising Manager.

About You

You will have good writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively face-to-face and by phone. 

You’ll work with a few IT systems to manage administration and reporting so you’ll be highly IT literate, experienced in databases and spreadsheets and know how to keep yourself organised.

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.
